These delicious little mince pies will ensure that you no longer have to miss out if you are gluten or dairy intolerant.

Using a combination of ready made gluten free flour and chestnut flour, we think we have the ultimate gluten and dairy free pastry. Easy to work with and with a great taste, this pastry is short but not too crumbly. Its really quite exciting!

As I am almost always in my kitchen, the radio or the telly are often on for a bit of background noise!

The other day, as I was cooking, The Food Network was on, and a rather hansom Spanish chef making Aioli. I didn't really take too much notice, until about halfway through, when I realised he was making it all in a big Kilner jar, with a Bamix stick blender! No 'gently, gently with the oil'! Oh no, he just bunged it all in the jar, and whizzed it up in a c...

It has been a long and busy summer here at Mrs B's Kitchen, but as I was making these tartlets for a business lunch today, I thought they might be a useful thing to put on the blog.

These will hit the spot for a light lunch or picnic, or as canapes for a Christmas drinks party if you make them in mini format! Equally you could use the pastry in one larger tin and make a larger tart. You will just have to adjust the cooking time to approxi...

Friends came for lunch so I made a meringue roulade using coconut sugar and dairy-free crème fraiche. A great dairy-free and wheat-free dessert!

Today I cooked a pissaladiere (without the traditional anchovies), for a vegan customer who was visiting the offices of one of my clients.

I know that people often panic at the thought of entertaining someone who follows a vegan diet, so here is a nice easy recipe that your vegan and non-vegan guests will enjoy!

Easy Vegan Pissaladiere

1 roll of ready made puff pastry (substitute for GF puff if you want to)

2 onions

Rapeseed or olive oil

1 aubergine (egg plant)

Planning a bespoke menu for each client is an important process, at the end of which we have a seasonally appropriate menu which fits the client's requirements

Sorting out my fridges, I see that I have a litre of beautiful double cream which I thought I would need for the party we catered for, but which was in fact surplus to requirements! Double cream doesn't freeze very well, so the trick is to use it in some other way to make sure it doesn't go to waste.

I could make a quiche or a cake, but my favourite thing to do with excess double cream is to turn it into beautiful home-made butter! It is something that every...
